Theory credits Logan Paul for raising WWE crossover bar impossibly high
Austin Theory has argued that Logan Paul’s rapid ascent in WWE has made it significantly harder for outside celebrities to succeed in professional wrestling, saying the YouTube personality has set a standard most newcomers cannot realistically meet. Theory made the remarks ahead of Saturday Night’s Main Event in Fort Wayne, Indiana, where he and Paul will defend the WWE World Tag Team Championships against The Street Profits.
Theory and Paul are members of The Vision, a faction on Monday Night Raw that also includes Bron Breakker and an injured Bronson Reed, with veteran manager Paul Heyman serving as the group’s spokesman. Theory, who has trained in professional wrestling since age 18 and signed with WWE at 22, drew a contrast between his own long path to the roster and Paul’s comparatively swift development, while crediting his tag partner’s athleticism and microphone skills as genuinely exceptional rather than celebrity novelty. Paul has held championship gold twice in WWE since making his in-ring debut with the company in 2021.
The Street Profits – Montez Ford and Angelo Dawkins – returned to Monday Night Raw following WrestleMania 42 and enter the match as three-time WWE tag team champions with additional title reigns in NXT and Evolve. Heyman’s managerial history includes high-profile associations with Brock Lesnar and Roman Reigns, among others, lending The Vision a level of institutional credibility within WWE’s on-screen presentation that Theory described as invaluable to the group’s direction.
Saturday Night’s Main Event, which also carries additional bouts beyond the tag title match, takes place Saturday in Fort Wayne, Indiana.
