Shotzi signs with MLW after creative freedom sealed the deal

Wrestler Shotzi has formally signed with Major League Wrestling roughly nine months after making her promotional debut there last June, citing creative latitude and the quality of her matches as the principal reasons for committing to the organization.

Shotzi departed WWE when her contract expired and, by her own account, was not actively seeking a new deal when MLW approached her. She described the situation as comparable to abandoning a search only to find exactly what she had been looking for, telling Fox News Digital that MLW moved quickly to bring her in and showed an immediate understanding of her character. That comfort level, she said, made the decision to sign straightforward. She credited MLW’s willingness to take risks with its storytelling as a quality she finds absent elsewhere in the industry, describing its product as “true pro wrestling, entertainment.”

MLW distributes its content across YouTube, beIN Sports, and the Veeps streaming platform. The promotion operates as an independent alternative to the larger WWE and AEW organizations and has maintained a televised presence across multiple broadcast partners.

Shotzi is scheduled to compete when “MLW Fusion” makes its debut on Veeps, a live-streaming and video-on-demand service, marking an expansion of the promotion’s digital distribution footprint.
