New Fever targets Pandemonium tag title in Portland on June 6
Independent tag team New Fever – Danny Orion and Josh Shimbashi – will challenge The Midnight Heat for the Pandemonium Tag Team Championship at Pandemonium Pro Wrestling’s Dismantling Summer event in Portland, Oregon, on June 6. The match follows a period of increased visibility for the team after performances during WrestleMania Week in Las Vegas drew attention across the independent circuit.
Orion and Shimbashi did not begin their careers as a team. Both trained separately, initially competed in different tag units in Texas, and transitioned to singles competition before promoters began booking them on the same cards, eventually pairing them as a team. Their partnership has since extended across multiple independent promotions, including ACTION Wrestling, PrideStyle Pro, Absolute Intense Wrestling, and Pro Wrestling Junkie. Orion also holds the New Texas Pro world heavyweight championship as a singles competitor. The team recorded a win over Jordan Saint and Robert Martyr at Pandemonium Pro’s Whatever Forever event in Las Vegas prior to the title match being announced.
The team name originated with Orion, who drew inspiration from a band he discovered on TikTok, before both wrestlers cycled through several rejected names – including Blender Bros and Pretty Boy Shock – before settling on New Fever. Shimbashi has stated publicly that he expects the team to hold three tag titles before the end of the year.
Dismantling Summer on June 6 represents New Fever’s first confirmed championship opportunity as a team. A win would give Pandemonium Pro the distinction of being the first promotion to award them tag team gold, with both wrestlers indicating they intend to build on that platform across further promotions should they succeed.
