Campbell Ends NFL Career After Super Bowl Win With Eagles

Wide receiver Parris Campbell has retired from the NFL, the Dallas Cowboys confirmed Wednesday, placing him on the reserve/retired list. The decision ends a seven-year professional career that concluded with a Super Bowl title alongside the Philadelphia Eagles.

Campbell, who turns 29 in less than two months, spent the 2025 season in Dallas on injured reserve and the practice squad without appearing in a regular-season game. He had signed a reserve/futures contract with the Cowboys in January before ultimately stepping away from the sport. His final regular-season action came with Philadelphia in 2024, when he caught six passes across five games before the Eagles defeated the Kansas City Chiefs in Super Bowl LIX at the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans on Feb. 9, 2025.

Originally selected by the Indianapolis Colts in the second round of the 2019 NFL Draft out of Ohio State, Campbell spent four seasons in Indianapolis and recorded 983 receiving yards with the franchise, including a career-best 623 yards in 2022. He joined the New York Giants in 2023 before moving to Philadelphia and subsequently Dallas.

Campbell’s retirement opens a second roster spot on Dallas’s 90-man offseason roster, with one vacancy already existing before his decision. The Cowboys are scheduled to open voluntary organized team activities in June.
