Arsenal’s Jurrien Timber Could Miss UCL Final, World Cup Due To Injury
Koeman Warns Timber Recovery Remains In Doubt For Final
Netherlands coach Ronald Koeman has reported that Arsenal defender Jurrien Timber continues to manage a groin injury with an uncertain timeline for return. The 24-year-old has been absent since March and faces questions over availability for both club and country commitments.
Timber sustained the problem during Arsenal’s 2-0 Premier League victory against Everton on 14 March and has not appeared since. Koeman stated that the player is training again to assess readiness for the Champions League final and the World Cup, though current indications remain negative.
Timber had contributed to 43 appearances across all competitions for Arsenal this season before the setback. The club still has a Premier League fixture against Crystal Palace ahead of the final against Paris Saint-Germain.
Timber’s potential absence would affect defensive planning at both Arsenal and with the Netherlands ahead of the 2026 World Cup, which begins in June.
